
Wilkins Consultancy provided an Interim Strategy Manager for the PACS Programme of the National Programme for IT (NPfIT) and developed an outline strategy for expediting the implementation of PACS across the NHS by 2006.
For three years, Wilkins Consultancy provided interim project management for the projects to develop the Initial and Full Local Implementation Strategies (LIS) for "Information for Health" for the Barnet Health Community, and programme management for the implementation. When Barnet Health Authority merged with Enfield and Haringey Health Authority, we updated and merged the joint LIS, and programme-managed its implementation for a further six months.
Following a project for Avon Health Authority to analyse the opportunities to improve clinical communications between primary care and secondary care using a variety of technologies, Wilkins Consultancy developed a co-ordinated, collaborative plan for implementation across the whole Avon health community. The plan was approved by the LIS Programme Board and given funding. We then provided interim project management pending recruitment to the full time project manager post.
Wilkins Consultancy provided interim project management to Barnet Health Authority, part time for two years, to project manage the Year 2000 project for the whole of Primary Care, including 82 GP practices.
To meet challenging national targets, Wilkins Consultancy provided part time interim project management over two years to Barnet Health Authority for the implementation of links between GP practices and the Health Authority for Patient Registrations and Items of Service claims.
